Borehole Geophysical Logging
Our MX Series winch holds 700 meters of single conductor cable, and most applications in the environmental, geotechnical and water supply fields are within reach.  In addition, the winch and other logging equipment are semi-portable and can be run with power from a small generator, allowing access over difficult terrain or to remote locations. Princeton Geoscience utilizes MSI’s time-tested Poly-Series logging probes.  We own and have received MSI training in the use of probes for logging the following parameters of common interest in environmental and water supply investigations:  Caliper (3-arm), Natural Gamma, Spontaneous Potential, Normal Resistivity (8”-16”-32”-64”), Single Point Resistance, Fluid Resistivity, Fluid Temperature, Heat-Pulse Flowmeter.   Also, we have access to equipment needed to acquire acoustic- and optical televiewer, induction and other specialized logs, via rental from MSI and several equipment rental vendors.  We collaborate with another geophysical logging contractor, when necessary to complement our in-house experience.

Borehole Logging
Wireline Workshop tooling is all state-of-the art with, for instance, very high resolution Acoustic and Optical televiewers. Final products are calibrated and crafted to represent the sought after mineral or rock mass in the best possible way. Potash and uranium deposits are calibrated in KCl percentage and UPPM respectively and blocked zones are averaged using the "area under the curve" method to remove shoulder effects. The new fibre optic north-seeking gyro sonde has major advantage over traditional surface reference designs. Each measurement is real and unique, not relying on drift correction and closure. A single measurement can be made if required.

BTA Drilling Services
BTA Drilling is a deep hole drilling process that utilizes specialized drilling tools run on a long drill tube. BTA is a much more efficient method of drilling compared to traditional twist drills and gun drilling. BTA stands for Boring and Trepanning Association, which developed this deep hole drilling system. Our state-of-the-art BTA deep hole drilling machines and tools, coupled with sophisticated manufacturing processes, have given us the reputation for being an industry leader in BTA drilling. Differentiating technology combined with the best BTA drilling machines and equipment on the market allows us to drill incredibly straight holes at extreme diameter to depth ratios. Capable of BTA drilling concentric holes up to 40 feet in length while guaranteeing OD to ID Concentricity of .010 TIR, we have the knowledge and skills to make your project a success. We are very strong in offset / eccentric BTA deep hole drilling. We are able to guarantee .020 positional tolerances at extreme depths

CCTV Borehole Inspections
hrough our many years of experience servicing the industry, the importance of mobile, robust and high quality CCTV camera equipment has become apparent. Whether the requirement is for bore diagnostics, fishing, installation, or to verify construction details, a clear video is crucial in order to proceed with confidence. With a lack of adequate off the shelf units available, AGE has set about developing a fleet of fully equipped, purpose built camera vehicles and other transportable units. We currently have 7 such vehicles and 3 transportable units strategically stationed around Australia to service any industry. In addition to our custom built units, we also have 14 hand-held units available for wet or dry hire.

Direct circulation drilling
This system allows you to drill all types of terrain and reach the maximum depth that drilling technologies currently allow. Generally used for the construction of small and medium diameter wells, this technique allows drilling without the use of temporary casing pipes. The direct circulation method occurs through the pumping of the circulating fluid (bentonite and/or polymers based mud) inside the rods. It is then returned back in the annulus between the rods and the hole, with the material drilled by the bit. The pressure and flow of the drilling fluid at, and immediately behind, the drilling bit effectively flushes the drilled material away from the bit and also prevents the borehole from collapsing. Further back from this the hydrostatic head of the drilling fluid ensures the stability of the hole and its viscosity (calculated according to the flow of fluid provided from the drilling rig and the diameter of the hole) must be such as to allow the transport to the surface of the drilled material. To allow effective removal of material without exceeding in viscosity, the ascent speed of the fluid should be not less than 0.2 m/sec.

Drilling Service Company
The story of the founding of Drilling Service Company mirrors our history since then: It’s first and foremost about people, and then about finding the very best way to do the work and build relationships. In the early 1950s, Clifford W. Cliff Murphy had managed operations for several established construction companies. Frankly he thought he could do things better. In 1955 he formed Drilling Service Co.As President of Drilling Service Cliff Murphy was a stickler for staying abreast of the latest in underground technology and in proactively pursuing customer relationships. He was later joined by his brother Marshall. Cliff and Marshall had grown up in a working-class family. They had never been exposed to social and business networking But Cliff took up golf and both he and Marshall began attending industry association events. Soon the St. Louis construction industry knew the Murphy brothers and their work ethic.

Electric Logging
Electric logging uses the marked differences in electrical properties between fine-grained sediments (shale, clay, and silt) and coarser-grained material (sandstone, sand, and gravel), to identify stratigraphic units from logs of electrical resistivity and natural electric potentials. Electric logging encompasses a number of specific techniques, including single-point resistance, spontaneous potential (SP), resistivity, and electromagnetic induction (EM). Single-point resistance simply involves measuring the bulk resistance between a surface electrode and the downhole probe
